For Paid Subscribers: Road Weary 4-Game Basketball Losing Streak Highlights Continuing Issues Hooten Seeks to Fix
Poor Shooting, Foul Trouble, and Inconsistent Play By Players Plague Aggies on the Road
Hello, Everyone.
Free and paid subscribers will be getting this email because it is Cyber Monday and I decided, well, what the heck…time for a new offer.
https://goaggies.substack.com/cybermonday will get you 20% off for new subscribers. That’s 9 cents a day for a year! :)
Going forward I intend to have columns that discuss what is going on with the team aside from basic recaps which are on the free part. I encourage discussion from those who get a chance to read these things, and maybe, just maybe we can collaborate on some discussions and I always love to hear feedback.
If you are free and get AGGREGATOR, and you want to avoid the message board and social media toxicity, feel free to DM, email me, chat with me and others on here, and so much more. I really want you to be FANS. I think no other content out there is for the fans. Newspapers are for engagement, and those podcasts that NM State does is to supplement a media rights deal they have with Van Wagner. This is the only place to talk Aggies in this format! Be a part of it, and please please give AGGREGATOR a shot. (Link above for 20% off)
So I am going to write this because there was not much yesterday, and I promised a “State of the Football Program” commentary this week, and of course the Abilene Christian game on Wednesday. So much still going on in Aggie Nation. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it.
The column below is for paid subscribers! Thank you. Love to see you here some more!

When I did my preview for the Basketball team earlier this season, I saw a path to 20 wins, which included 11 wins in conference. It wasn’t a bold statement. I think it was very possible for this team. But that means barring no postseason wins, the Aggies will have to get to 9 wins in non-conference.
Unless the Aggies pull off some upsets against UNM this weekend, and then Texas at the Moody Center, 20 wins will have to come from a better conference record, and/or some postseason wins. Hooten is known for 20 wins, and 20 wins are as routine as the polo shirts he wears on the sidelines every season for the long-tenured coach in his two stops as head coach. I do believe that he believed that he could get at least 9 wins in non-conference as well, and that certainly has to bother him like it does so many fans.
So here’s the thing…
